Singapore Math
Everyone (students and myself!) are getting into the groove our the district's new Singapore Math curriculum. We use place value disks to show any regrouping. The curriculum also comes with various card games you can play with just a regular deck of playing cards! In groups of three, two students place cards on their forehead, only being able to see their opponents number. The person without cards will say "The sum is...." or "The difference is...". Students race to find the missing addend or subtrahend.
